The Yamaha SGV 300 is 24.75" scale and features an alder body, 22 fret maple neck with rosewood fretboard, single coil pickups and a super smooth original Yamaha roller-type tremolo.

This reissue range produced in Taiwan from 2000 to 2007 revived Yamaha's distinctive 1960s offset designs for a new generation. Unlike the higher-spec domestic-market models, the SGV300 was one of the two export models and remains the most recognisable version of the Flying Samurai series. The blender control allows the adjacent pickups to be gradually combined, moving between traditional single-coil sounds and humbucker-style combinations.
