Early 2003 Pre-Gibson Lawsuit '4-knob' ESP Eclipse II Standard in See-Thru Black Cherry over a gorgeous quilted maple top, bound to a lightweight mahogany body.

Featuring a slim bound 22-fret neck with rosewood fingerboard and iconic flag inlays, all black hardware with Sperzel locking tuners & EMG-81 humbuckers for maximum output and clarity.

A considerable difference in quality from the later models made by ESP, the Eclipse I's are not only for Hetfield collectors, but instead those who are after a precision-made, flagship model before reaching ESP Custom Shop dollars.

An outstanding instrument and a very cool piece of history in Japanese guitar making.

Includes original ESP Hardcase, with Gotoh locking machine heads. Some scuffs on the finish on the top (pictured). Missing pickup selector tip. The binding is starting to come away from the headstock near the G machine head slightly.
